God Rocks at Restoration!

You've heard of Restoration Hardware? Well God would be first to pop up on Google under restoration, if He had a website. God gives us beauty for ashes, makes all things new, and offers us new mercies every morning. He has a vast department of second, third, fourth, and fifth chances. His desire is to bring us back to him. His desire is to restore us to the rightful place where are God's children, and where He is our father. He desires a deep intimate relationship with us.

God restores us to Himself through Jesus at the cross. God knew we could not do for ourselves what was needed to keep that perfect union with Him, because we cannot live a sinless life, so He sent His only son, Jesus to restore us and to make a way for us to return to Him.

God has restored so much in my life. First... He has brought me into His kingdom by the saving blood of Jesus. He has given me and restored me to eternal life with him. He restored my thinking and delivered me from anorexia. He restored my body to have two beautiful children. He restored my family and children. He restored my friends. He restored my joy and hope. He restores my soul daily!!!

If you need to be restored, and brought back to a place of rest, God is calling to you in the midst of your circumstance to turn to Him for help.

Field For Those Who Seek God

"And Sharon shall be a pasture land for flocks, and the valley of anchor a resting place for herds, for my people who seek Me."  Isaiah 65:10

So how do I  become a 'field' for flocks and a offering place of rest to another? The struggle to be well positioned as a source of encouragement to those who seek God is difficult. I pray for God to use me but sometimes I get so occupied in my own mind battles, that I am too tired, or simply unaware when the 'God' opportunity arises.  By and through the Holy Spirit I have had wonderful times of focus and submission where I have enjoyed being used for the kingdom. There are times when the Spirit is so heavy that I cannot help be offer words of encouragement and edification, and complaining is far from my lips.  The flow and anointing of the Spirit that pours out love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, and self control is the watering I long for.

God I thirst for you.  I enjoyed an outpouring of God's Spirit into my life during March and April, and said to myself as the weeks went on, "I am having the best week ever".  I enjoyed roughly 8 weeks of experiencing God's anointing and presence and was solid amidst some difficult circumstances.  Then one day in late April - boom.  I took a hit and it shook me.  So I am praying and asking God to help me and to show me quickly that which he wants to show me, while I battle against the hits of the world.

I am trusting that God will bring me back to the place where I will be ready to be a pasture and field for others and that He will do it when I am ready.  I am trusting that He'll get me through and establish me in Him so that I am ready for His perfect work.

So at the end of a dry and thirsty day I long for God to pour down His grace and mercy and cover me as the night comes.  I pray that God draw me near again so that in His presence I can be refreshed and renewed and ready again to face the day tomorrow.

How I want to live in the fullness of God's love and to feel his presence with me and in me each day.   Because I am to live by the Spirit and not by feelings I press on and keep my eyes focused and fixed upon Jesus, who has promised to bring me through.
